She was born in a small town a few days from the capitol as the daughter of a lesser knight. Her mother was a noble's daughter who was disowned through "no fault of her own", and was constantly looking to get her rung on the social ladder back. Her mother's ambitions would effect the entire family dynamic. Her father was able to escape the house to go do his duty, but Eleanora was trapped in a house full of her mother's resentments, ambitions, and most painful of all, rules. Even though she wasn't highborn, her mother demanded she live up to her standards. While she wasn't abused, things were always bleak around the house. Bleak, and spotless.

Eleanora learned early in her teens that her mother couldn't complain about how she wasn't perfect if she continued to clean all of the time. So she cleaned, and she cleaned, and she cleaned. Cleaned herself to perfect, cleaned the house to perfection, cleaned her brothers to perfection. All day, every day. In her later teens however, she found out that her mother could complain even when she was cleaning. Soon after that she was determined to get out of that house somehow. Her mother planned her life for her, and she didn't like how it would go. And then came the Testing day. Suddenly she had the potential to surpass her Mother's wildest dreams, and be able to stick her nose up at her. It was a wonderful feeling for her. After so many years of hell with only cleaning, and support of her brothers to help her through, how bad could this school be?

Rejected, and not willing to face her mother after that ordeal, she tried to run away from the city. She thought she could find work somewhere else. She would not go back home. Instead she found herself without any resources outside of the city. She needed money for food, and water... and she really had no idea where to get it.

She stumbled upon a large farm that was offering entry positions on the domestic staff. She didn't realise what she was getting into though, as the Farringtons didn't pay her in money. All she got was free room and board. She was well fed, and hard at work like she enjoyed... but there was no chance of escape whatsoever. Without even a penny to her name, she was trapped.

Her days are filled with keeping the farmers' rooms cleaned, their clothes washed, and their food served. She knows there are certain ways of getting money from them, but none of them clean and easy. She tries not to think about it. For a long time now she has tried not to think at all. When she gets thinking, she realises she can only think about the outside.

Over the years she has turned into a neatfreak. A nervous habit to fix things that look wrong has developed in her, and she can't bare to see things out of place. She is resentful about the nobility, because she thinks their strict standards caused her mother's problems, and her's. She likes to be social, because she didn't talk very much inside the house except to her brothers. She cares a little too much about what other people think of her. She's driven to become a mage if it kills her . . . and run far away from home if she fails.
